Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Woo Checkout Pro ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, customer dashboard, and WooCommerce plugin licensing services.
1. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional profile fields you provide when you register or update your account.
Payment information: transactions are processed by Razorpay. We store payment status, amounts, currency, and Razorpay order/payment identifiers — not full card numbers.
License & usage: license keys, intended or activated store URL (for single-site licensing), and verification timestamps from the WordPress plugin.
Support: ticket or chat messages and related metadata you submit through our support channels.
Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and cookies/session tokens for authentication.
Analytics (website): aggregated usage and interaction data via tools listed in section 3 (for example page views and session behavior). This helps us improve the site and measure marketing performance.
2. How we use information
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account
- Deliver licenses, plugin downloads, and updates
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Provide customer support
- Send service-related emails (e.g. password reset, purchase confirmation, license details)
- Understand how our website is used and improve security and reliability of the Service
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| MongoDB Atlas | Database hosting (accounts, licenses, orders, tickets, blog) |
| Razorpay | Payment processing |
| Email (SMTP) | Transactional and support notifications |
| Hosting (e.g. Vercel) | Application hosting |
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We share only what is necessary for their function.
Plugin on your WooCommerce store
When you install Woo Checkout Pro on your store, checkout data (orders, customer fields, etc.) stays on your WordPress/WooCommerce site and payment gateways. Features such as Google Address Autocomplete use an API key you configure; that usage is under your Google Cloud account and store privacy practices — we do not receive your store’s checkout form submissions through that feature.
4. Cookies & sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in (session)
- Remember preferences (e.g. theme)
- Measure site usage and marketing performance where analytics tools are enabled
You can control cookies in your browser; some features (including sign-in) may not work if essential cookies are disabled.
5. Data retention
We retain account and license data while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and support obligations. You may request account deletion by contacting support; some records may be retained where required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
